The final installment of this celebrity version of The Traitors was mistakenly made available by international distributors before its scheduled UK broadcast on Thursday night, according to official sources.

Reports indicate that the finale was viewed by a small number of subscribers of the online platform the streaming service in Canada; they could watch it for a couple of hours before it was taken down.

This installment being uploaded was not a mistake by the producing network, and a representative for the company urged those who believe they know the outcome of the show to "avoid sharing any reveals".

"We kindly ask those who thinks they know the outcome of The Celebrity Traitors to hold whatever they believe they know to themselves," the announcement read.

"We ask you to refrain from posting potential spoilers so that the millions of fans who have been closely watching every twist and turn of the show can experience the final this night."

The Celebrity Traitors is currently the most-watched TV show of the current year, with an mean of 12.6 million viewers across the first four episodes.

Fans of the show have been waiting to see whether traitors Cat Burns and Alan Carr will win the £100,000 prize for a good cause or whether loyal contestants Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olosuga will be triumphant.

A past champion of the third series of the show stated that "everyone dislikes reveals", which are "the thief of joy".

He mentioned they will be sitting down to view the finale tonight as it airs, with his entire family and "some snacks".

Thursday's concluding installment is lengthened to 70 minutes on the main channel, with an longer version of The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked set to air on the secondary channel following the finale.
