Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Counterattacks.
Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed operations across the region in response for a significant and continuing offensive against it by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area in the area of the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any damage is unclear and the US has remained silent.
Airspace Engagements
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to American military installations - stated they have shot down incoming projectiles in their air space.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
IRGC Statement
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was striking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That US-Israeli operation - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on sites associated with the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump calling on the Iranian people to rise up against the leadership.
Regional Fallout
In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the UAE stated that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems responded to the missiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a number of missiles," it added.
Officials reported wreckage landed in a populated district in Abu Dhabi, causing some material damage and killing a civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
